You are being called to the heart of Brooklyn, to a world lit by fire and by hope. Flames burn, and the gods of fire lead you and the Flambeaux Fire cast through a burning maze of intrigue.
'The Calling' redefines 'fire entertainment' in a musical-pyrotechnic odyssey that explores fantasy worlds of intense characters in a heart-felt show expressing a hope that people will come together and dare to dream again. Episode by episode it fills the Gowanus Ballroom with a magical sense of wonder.
Episode 2 of 'The Calling' adds new scenes, characters, and songs to the story that began in November. Burning questions will be answered, and more mystery and magick revealed.

"Shy snowdrops are being born in my garden, and I kiss winter goodbye like a lover. Little faces stare to the earth, barely believing that the sun and soil have given them life, and I look back at my time with the winter muses here and gone in a white flash. Before the first frost, I planted little bulbs in the ground at the same time that I decided to retreat from the world to write an album. Now, like the little white dewy faces of the first flowers of spring, I look down at my path with wonder.
I was less open about the process than I expected to be with this blog. A few of my trials and triumphs were shared, but I found that to share much more about my experience beyond a few words (and lots of pictures that fuel my inspirations) would of been too much. The confidence and magick of an artist wax and wane like the moon, and to share the entire process of writing an album on my tumblr blog could of really made me look mad. One must go a little mad to get to the good stuff…
Here on the last day of winter, I find myself the new mother of many, many new songs dreams, and visions. I went inside to my deepest places and wrote a song at each bend in the road. It took (and continues to take) lots of courage to keep following that road. I documented an experience, and etched it along the insides of my soul in the vibrations of new music. The walls of my house know the sounds of the thing that will drive me when it all begins again. The world is calling me back, and although I will mourn a bit for my winter solitude coming to an end, I know I can always return when the time is right. Now, there are people to meet, place to go, songs to be sung, and new stories to be told. I welcome The Blossoming Time with open arms."

These are the first official images from 'Dreams of The Last Butterflies,' a film by Zina Brown & Thousand Names Productions that I will have the honor of writing the musical score, and performing in this summer. I will join 7 other 'Butterfly Queens' to tell the tale of the loss of butterflies in our world, and why they are disappearing in this mini-epic, live-action “Dark Faerie Tale” with a unique vision, full of wonder, dreams, and otherworldly performers that will be shot in 3D. Check out the blog Thousand Names has started abut the film to see sketches, pictures, and track the progress as we count down to the release later this year.
As winter winds away, parts of my spirit are emerging from deep within the cocoon of time as well. As I take time away from parties, shows, and promotion, the music of my heart is being born out of long moments of solitude and surrender. Writing my first full length album, I have been blessed by the muse as I go deep down into myself to bring back jewels from the depths. You can read about my journey here on my new Tumblr blog called 'Night Vision.' It is an online 'dream journal' where I will chronicle my experience of writing, and also a place for images, and past journal entries from blank books that I have been filling since I was a young girl. I hope you will join me in this other little innerspace portal to swirl around inside my dreams with me.
